On This Day in History / October 21, 2024 2003: Through 4 November, six ANG C-130s and two AFRC C-130s, each equipped with the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS), flew 48 missions to drop 129,600 gallons of fire retardant on fires in Southern California’s Simi Valley.
