2000: STS-92 was a Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS) flown by Space Shuttle Discovery and marked the 100th mission of the Space Shuttle program. It was launched from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, 11 October 2000 (seen here). The 13-day mission prepared the International Space Station for its first full-time residents. Mission Commander Col Brian Duffy and Pilot Lt Col Pamela Melroy both graduated from the Air Force Test Pilot School. (NASA Image)
