1954: In the aftermath of the French defeat in Indochina, the 315th Air Division and the Military Air Transport Service (MATS) airlift more than 500 wounded French soldiers from Vietnam. During Operation WOUNDED WARRIOR, the injured are moved via Japan and the United States on their way back to France.
