1972: President Nixon and USSR Premier Aleksei N. Kosygin in Moscow signed an Agreement Concerning Cooperation in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes. This culminated in the 1975 linking of an Apollo spacecraft with a Soyuz command module.
