1999: The 169 FW (South Carolina Air National Guard) qualified most of its pilots to use the High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) Targeting System to hunt and disable enemy surface-toair missile sites. That made the 169th the only ANG fighter unit able to perform the Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) mission with HARMs.
